Why Stay Golden?

In the depths of vulnerability, there lies a power beyond measure. Let me take you on a journey, a journey of transformation, faith, and self-discovery – a journey that began with a simple question: “Why Stay Golden?”

Picture this: Carrot Bay, Tortola, where the gentle embrace of the British Virgin Islands sun kisses the shores and whispers secrets to the wind. It’s here that I, Gia Fraser, was raised in a Christian home, where the rhythms of faith were as constant as the beating of my heart. But despite the rituals of worship and prayer, I found myself adrift in a sea of doubt and insecurity, unable to forge a true connection with God or with myself.

“You are fearfully and wonderfully made,” the scriptures proclaimed. But how could I believe it when the world around me seemed determined to convince me otherwise? The wrong size, the wrong complexion – it felt like there was always something about me that didn’t quite measure up. And with each passing day, the weight of those lies grew heavier, threatening to crush me beneath their weight.

For years, I battled against the shadows of self-doubt, struggling to find my footing in a world that seemed determined to tear me down. But then, in the trial of 2017, everything changed. It was a year of loss and disorder, a year that stripped me bare and forced me to confront the darkness within myself.

In that darkness, I made a choice – a choice to rise from the ashes and reclaim my power. And out of that choice, Stay Golden was born. More than just a brand, Stay Golden became a beacon of hope – a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is light to be found.

With unwavering determination, I set out to create a community where self-love was not just a mantra but a way of life. Through workshops, events, and heartfelt conversations, I sought to uplift and inspire others to embrace their inherent worth and step boldly into their divine purpose.

And as the years passed, Stay Golden flourished, touching the lives of countless individuals and guiding them on their own journeys of self-discovery and empowerment. Through it all, my faith grew stronger, my relationship with God deeper, and my love for myself more profound.

So, my dear friends, if you ever find yourself lost in the darkness, remember this: You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are enough, just as you are. And with a little faith and a lot of courage, you too can Stay Golden.
